Services |
Staff:
Carefree Manor is staffed with Resident Care Aides 24 hours a day, each
room is equipped with emergency call pulls should you need their immediate
assistance, also for non emergencies staff they can be contacted by
phone.
Suites:
Each suite contains a small fridge, window blinds, carpet, telephone
jack and basic cable service. You are responsible for furnishing your
suite and supply of personal hygiene items ( soap, toothpaste, shampoo,
toilet paper, laundry powder etc).
Meals:
At Carefree our Chef will delight you with a variety of nutritious,
artfully prepared meals. Breakfast is served daily between 8 and 9am,
the “main meal” of the day is served at 12-30pm and the
evening meal at 5-30pm. All meals are served in our dining room, however
during short periods of incapacitation tray service to your suite is
available. We will do our best to accommodate special dietary requirements.
A variety of beverages and snacks are available at any time, Residents
who wish to enjoy a private family meal or function are welcome to use
our library for the occasion.
Services
& Amenities:
Our friendly housekeeping staff will dust, vacuum, remove garbage, clean
the bathroom and hang fresh towels in your suite once a week. Bed linen
will be laundered and your bed made with fresh linen. Each Resident
is responsible for their personal laundry, there is a laundry for your
use in each wing.
We have a hairdressing salon, hairdressing is available weekly.
Common areas include the air conditioned dining room, living room complete
with large screen surround sound TV with DVD and VCR, library, exercise
and sitting areas. Outside there is a gazebo and covered patio complete
with furniture for your enjoyment. There is ample parking complete with
plug ins at the rear of the building.
Activities:
Our enthusiastic Activity Coordinator arranges a vast array of activities,
outings, entertainment, games etc.
Mail:
There are individual mail boxes located by the living room, you can
receive and send mail if desired.
Security:
The main entrance doors are locked and alarmed nightly, Residents and
their designated family members will be provided with entrance and suite
keys.
Fire
Protection:
We have a 2 stage fire alarm system, all rooms, hallways and common
areas are equipped with smoke/heat detectors and sprinklers. There is
emergency lighting in the common areas. NO Smoking
is allowed inside the building.
Transportation:
Community bus service and Handi-Dart pick up are available at the front
door, Resident scooters storage is available both inside and outside
the building.
